Received gun shot wounds to his abdomen on 26th May 1917 and was taken to Etaples Hospital, France. He survived these wounds, since in January 1918 he was deprived four days pay for ‘overstaying leave’ by four days. He survived the war and in January 1919 was conveyed to Britain for ‘dispersal’. He died in 1936.
