This memorial was originally sited at a location known as Captain’s Hill, but was moved in February 2002 to its current site. Some local residents claimed it should never have been moved, as a mark of respect to those men whose names it contains. At its new location, the memorial is presented well, and is sited in a nice open space that makes it easily visible by all who pass by.
