During the course of my work in researching the men listed on the Nelson World War One Memorial I have encountered several men who have a link to Nelson, but may be listed on Village Memorials in villages near to Nelson. During a ‘dry spell’ with my research for the Nelson War Memorial, I decided to research the names on those memorials. I have now included them into this site, rather than the research go to waste.

I have also researched the names on New Tredegar War Memorial, the connection being, that this is where my wife grew up. As time passes, I may get further time to research more local memorials and will include them into this site, purely as matters of interest. They may also assist those carrying out family history research.
